Olikka helped Joval Wine Group regain control of their Azure spend by implementing cost management processes and tools.

Challenge

Azure costs had steadily increased for Joval Wine Group since migration.  This forced the operations team to shift focus away from delivering digital transformation to minimising costs, something that Joval was keen to avoid. Olikka was brought in to optimise their Azure spend.

Outcome

The Cloud Cost Optimisation solution delivered provided a review of the Joval Wine Group's Azure spend. From there Olikka implemented anAzure Cost Management plan to manage spend. The Olikka team identified dormant servers which could be decommissioned and implemented Azure budgets empowering the Joval operations team to manage their ongoing Azure costs.

Most importantly, the reduction in our infrastructure costs and operational burden has enabled our technology services group to shift its focus from ‘keeping the lights on’ to delivering the digital transformation required to maintain our position as a market leader. This is where the real value lies, and Azure has given us the agile, resilient and secure environment needed to support this innovation.
