As you scramble to deploy tools to help your people work remotely, you need to make sure you’re set up to scale. Tactical deployment doesn’t need to be devoid of strategic thinking. You can still manage compliance, access, security, and team creation.
We’re supporting our customers to fast track deployment of Microsoft Teams. One way we are helping them to avoid being overwhelmed by team sprawl, is to set them up to manage team creation.
We created a custom process to accelerate team creation through a formal, automated approval process. New teams are created by using a pre-configured template. The template consists of a default set of channels and tabs with the tabs pointing to internal resources.
This simple workflow allows your people to submit a simple Microsoft Form that captures all your defined information like name, or business unit. The information is sent to an email group for approval. Once approved, the team is created using the template and the requestor then receives confirmation the team has been created.
The Olikka development team wrote custom code that creates the requested team once approval is received. The form is embedded into a teams tab for easy access and information capture. This is just one way that Olikka can create a custom workflow that connects API, Microsoft Graph or other endpoints to streamline your business processes.
