Working with AWS DeepLens

Olikka has recently invested in AWS DeepLens technology, the world’s first wireless, deep learning enabled camera that allows our developers to start leveraging deep learning into our existing and new solutions.

One of our first projects, the prototype of an Amazon WorkSpaces self-help hub where users are recognised through the DeepLens and can then talk to Alexa to submit their WorkSpace requests.  The solution uses Amazon Rekognition for advanced image analysis and based on an image provided can recognise that person via the camera. In the photo above you can see Olikka developers Alastair Cunningham and Daniel Lorenzin presenting an early version of the Olikka’s WorkSpaces Hub to some of our top customers and good friends at AWS.
